Hi God,

... there is this constant battle in my head between selfish me and God me ... selfish me says you can do it, it just takes hard work and be good, just make it happen and blah blah blah ( and that voice seems so loud ) ...

... the God me head space knows just let go and let God ... If it is a God idea He will make it happen, just be ready and available ... He will lead you in the right direction  ... I need to remember I am God created 1st and stop striving ... He will supply all my needs ... I know all this in my head but I need to start believing it and acting like it ...

... you want me to be a storyteller ... telling bible stories in everyday language ... a God storyteller ... OK so I am not going to let fear be my focus ... Lord remind me to take my eyes off the fear and focus on You ... Anything is possible for You who created the earth ...

... while I sit with the storyteller idea for a bit ... what about the stationary shop ... where is that in my plan? ... and as I write these words I see the MY PLAN stand up and say 'hello' ... that is the selfish worldly me talking ... I need a God idea not a Teena idea ...

... Breath of God ...

Dear God,

... my intention with this blog is to help me be closer to you ... what it has begun is a search through my favorite books to rediscover what inspired me in the past ... BREATH ... is a reoccurring theme ... BREATH OF GOD ...  

' Whole Prayer' by Walter Wangerin Jr. talks about ... "The keenest ears unto the Lord are those freest of worldly concerns; quiet ears, ears unhectored by the clamour of self and pride" ... " I can hear God breathing  in the night, as if we were runners side-by-side who achieve the same goal at the same time : friends."...

... help me God ... train my ears and mind to be quiet just like this writer experienced ... my selfish worldly self has such a loud voice ...

... i want to hear your breath as i am running ... when i am in bed late at night may i fall asleep to the rhythm of your breath ... and in the morning may i wake to that same calming  rhythm ... i have had brief glimpses of your breath over the years but i want to feel it all the time ... please let this be so ...
